TOWANDA, Pennsylvania — Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide following the alleged stabbing of her husband, Charles Harrison, and their 3-year-old son, Tristan, at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, PA. The incident occurred shortly after a gas shutoff notice was issued for an unpaid bill of $29.05, dated October 5, warning that service could be disconnected on or after October 8.
While on vacation in the Poconos, the family had extended their stay at the resort, which was initially scheduled to end on October 5, to October 13, with the total cost for the stay estimated at $6,000. Reports indicate that Harrison allegedly drained her husband’s 401(k) to fund the trip, according to her stepmother.
Hotel security footage recorded the family entering their hotel room on the evening of October 8. On October 9, shortly after 1:30 p.m., Harrison called 911, reportedly expressing a desire to end her life after the alleged killings. She told the operator she was “too weak to stab my neck” and requested assistance.
A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for October 21, where a judge will determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial in the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas.
