Man Arrested for Hit-and-Run and Attempted Arson in North Carolina

<p>Victor Adulfo-Herrera, a man from Mexico, was arrested in High Point, North Carolina, after allegedly causing a hit-and-run that left a man seriously injured and later attempting to set a home on fire on May 27.</p><p>Authorities reported that Adulfo-Herrera struck a man with his vehicle and fled the scene. He then poured gasoline near a residence while a couple was inside. The woman in the home had previously secured a no-contact order against him due to fear for her safety.</p><p>Adulfo-Herrera faces multiple charges, including felony hit and run, attempted arson, and breaking and entering with intent to terrorize. He is currently held on a $15,000 bond for the hit-and-run and a $10,000 bond for the arson case. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 31.</p><p>Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued a detainer for Adulfo-Herrera, seeking to transfer him to federal custody for potential deportation.</p>
