James Handy's girlfriend's son, Michael Gledhill, 44, has been charged with murder after Handy was found stabbed to death outside his home in Tarzana. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office stated that Gledhill faces a potential sentence of 26 years to life in prison if convicted. District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman commented on the case, emphasizing the tragic nature of Handy's death and the need for accountability. Gledhill has been charged with one count of murder, with a special allegation of using a knife as a deadly weapon. Handy, 81, was discovered unconscious in his front yard with a stab wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Gledhill reportedly flagged down officers upon their arrival and admitted to being involved in the incident. He was arrested and is being held on a $2 million bail.
