Rep. Lauren Boebert Responds to Allegations Involving Rep. Thomas Massie

<p>Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., reacted strongly to a Fox News Digital reporter's inquiry regarding allegations of a sexual relationship between her and Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky. The allegations were raised by a woman claiming to be Massie's ex-girlfriend.</p><p>Boebert responded, "F – – – you, first of all!" when the reporter brought up the claims. She added, "If you're gonna bring me into this, like, the sexist stuff is like out of control. So there's your clickbait that you were looking for."</p><p>Following this exchange, Boebert declined to elaborate on the allegations. The discussion had initially focused on President Donald Trump's efforts to challenge Republican incumbents and Massie's political future.</p><p>Cynthia West, a former congressional staffer, accused Massie of boasting about an alleged sexual encounter with Boebert shortly after his wife's death. West also alleged that Massie offered her $5,000 to withdraw a wrongful termination lawsuit against Rep. Victoria Spartz, an ally of Massie. These allegations emerged shortly before Massie's loss in the May 19 Republican primary.</p><p>Boebert expressed her reluctance to discuss personal matters, stating, "I don't want to talk about anybody's exes and their crazy s– – – that they do." Before the contentious exchange, she had been discussing whether Trump's strategy of supporting primary challengers was negatively impacting the GOP agenda.</p><p>When asked about Massie's recent announcement to file for re-election in 2028, Boebert indicated uncertainty about his future plans, stating, "He filed for something. He didn't specify what and I don't know if he's going to move forward with that or not. I don’t know." She concluded by wishing him success.</p>
