Toledo, Ohio police reported on Monday that all 12 individuals injured in a shooting near the Old West End Festival are in stable condition. The shooting occurred on Saturday and involved at least two gunmen, who are believed to have been firing at each other. The ages of the victims range from 14 to 61, and they are all showing signs of improvement. Police have not yet identified a motive or released descriptions of any suspects as the investigation continues.

The shooting took place around 5:37 p.m. on Saturday near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, close to the festival. Deputy Chief Joseph Heffernan indicated that the shooting disrupted a long-standing community event, expressing regret over the incident. Heffernan noted that security measures were in place to prevent such occurrences.
Investigative Lt. Dan Gerken described the violence as unprecedented for the festival. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine expressed confidence that law enforcement would identify those responsible for the incident, labeling it a "senseless" crime. He emphasized that summer festivals should be safe for families. Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz also expressed confidence in the city's resilience and the efforts of law enforcement.
