Microsoft to Disable Office 2019 for Mac Next Month

Microsoft will disable its Office 2019 applications for Mac starting next month due to the company's decision not to renew a certificate that validates Office licenses. Users of Office 2019 for Mac have been informed that they will need to purchase Office 2024 or subscribe to Microsoft 365 to continue editing documents. Previously, Microsoft had assured users that all Office 2019 apps would continue to function after announcing the end of support in 2023. However, an update to the support note last month removed the assurance about app functionality, stating instead that users would not lose any data.
