Sydney Sweeney Discusses 'Euphoria' Nudity and Cut Pole Dancing Scene

Sydney Sweeney, the 28-year-old actress, spoke with Vanity Fair about her role in 'Euphoria' and her comfort with explicit scenes in the show. She emphasized that her character, Cassie, is distinct from her own personal choices. Sweeney stated, "I’m an actor and that’s my job... to play Cassie in the most vulnerable and insane way possible." She also defended her work on Instagram, asserting, "it’s called… acting." Sweeney revealed that a pole dancing scene was cut from season three, where her character Cassie, excited by the atmosphere of a strip club, attempts to perform on stage. Although disappointed by the scene's removal, she expressed hope that it might be released as behind-the-scenes footage. The show's creator, Sam Levinson, had initially considered not including nudity but later agreed to it based on the character's storyline.
