Donald Trump, who will turn 80 on Sunday, recently underwent a medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was seen by 22 specialists, a number that is notably higher than the 14 doctors involved in his previous physical. The Washington Post reported this increase, highlighting that it is the highest number of specialists recorded for a presidential examination. The White House stated that Trump remains in 'excellent health.' However, Dr. Jonathan Reiner expressed skepticism regarding the necessity of so many specialists, noting the logistical challenges of such an evaluation in a limited time frame. He mentioned that many evaluations likely occurred prior to the visit rather than on the same day. Reiner also pointed out that the memorandum from Trump's physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, indicated a review of past diagnostic studies and laboratory tests, but did not clarify the reasons for the consultations. Reiner raised concerns about Trump's health issues, including swelling in his legs, bruising on his hands, and daytime sleepiness, suggesting these could indicate underlying health problems.
