Spencer Pratt Partners with Kenneth Bass in Wildfire Lawsuit

Spencer Pratt, a former candidate for mayor of Los Angeles, announced that he is partnering with Kenneth Bass, the brother of current mayor Karen Bass, in a legal action related to a wildfire that affected the city last year. Pratt stated on social media that he is suing Karen Bass for negligence linked to the wildfire, which occurred on January 7, 2025, resulting in 12 fatalities and the destruction of nearly 7,000 homes. Kenneth Bass and his wife are part of a class-action lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power after their home was destroyed in the fire. Pratt had previously filed his own lawsuit in January. Although he claims to be teaming up with Kenneth Bass, their legal actions remain separate. In the recent mayoral election, Karen Bass received the most votes, while Pratt was in second place before being overtaken by another candidate, Nithya Raman.
