Gavin Newsom alleges DOJ investigation ordered by Trump

California Governor Gavin Newsom stated on Monday that the Department of Justice is investigating him and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, at the direction of President Donald Trump. In a video statement, Newsom claimed, "After calling for my arrest last year, Donald Trump directed his Department of Justice to investigate me." He further alleged that the investigation aims to undermine any potential presidential campaign he may pursue. Newsom remarked, "Donald Trump isn’t just coming after me because of my mean Tweets. He’s coming after me because I am considering running for President," and described Trump as "the most corrupt President in American history."
