Oliver Tree, a 32-year-old singer, made comments about his will weeks before he was reported among six fatalities in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 16, 2026. During an appearance on the "Zach Sang Show," Tree expressed that he does not believe any of his wealth should go to his family after his death. He stated, "When I die, my will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one’s going to get a penny." He mentioned that he would support his children through college but emphasized that they would not inherit his wealth. Tree indicated that he has established a foundation, Dr. Oliver Tree’s Art Grants for Baby Geniuses, intending for his money to support artists rather than be used for personal education or equipment purchases. He outlined a plan for a committee to decide how the funds would be distributed annually after his passing. The helicopter crash reportedly occurred when one helicopter crashed into a car dealership, igniting a fire. The victims included passengers and pilots, with Tree being one of the identified casualties. He had recently performed in São Paulo and was scheduled for a show in Lisbon on July 1.
