Former New Hampshire State Representative Sentenced to 33 Years for Child Exploitation

Stacie Marie Laughton, a former New Hampshire state representative, was sentenced to over 33 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of children. Laughton, 41, received nude photos of children from Lindsay Groves, 40, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for her role in the case. Groves, a former employee at a Massachusetts daycare, took explicit images of children and sent them to Laughton via text message. A forensic review revealed over 10,000 text messages exchanged between the two, discussing and transferring explicit images of children. Authorities confirmed that all identified children and their families were contacted by law enforcement.
