Elected officials and animal welfare advocates are set to gather for a vigil on Monday to honor 18-year-old Romanch Mahajan, who died after falling from a horse-drawn carriage in Central Park last Wednesday. Mahajan, visiting New York City from India with his family, suffered fatal injuries when the horse became spooked and bolted, causing the carriage to flip after colliding with another carriage.
