Mango Vice President Resigns Following Arrest in Father's Death Investigation

<p>Jonathan Andic, heir to the Mango clothing company, resigned from his position as vice president on Tuesday after being arrested in connection with the death of his father, Isak Andic, the founder of Mango.</p><p>In a letter to staff, Jonathan stated that he stepped down to focus on clearing his name. He expressed sadness over the decision but emphasized the need to concentrate on demonstrating his innocence.</p><p>Isak Andic died in December 2024 after falling from a cliff during a hike with Jonathan near Barcelona. At the time of his death, he had an estimated net worth of approximately $4 billion, according to Forbes.</p><p>Initially, authorities considered the death an accident; however, the investigation was reopened in October 2025, leading to Jonathan being named the primary suspect.</p><p>Jonathan was arrested last week in Spain and later posted bail set at $1.2 million. Reports indicate that tensions related to financial matters and changes to Isak's will may have contributed to the investigation.</p><p>In his letter, Jonathan denied any wrongdoing, stating that a one-sided narrative has been created that misrepresents the situation. He acknowledged that addressing this perception would require significant effort.</p><p>Following his resignation, Mango CEO Toni Ruiz expressed support for Jonathan, stating that the company believes the legal process will clarify the facts and urged staff to remain united.</p><p>Isak Andic founded Mango in Barcelona in 1984, and the company expanded internationally in 1992. Jonathan is scheduled to appear in a Spanish court next month.</p>
