Trump Accuses Iran of Violating Ceasefire with Drone Attacks in Strait of Hormuz

This accusation followed an incident where a cargo vessel was struck off the coast of Oman on Thursday. During a press briefing at the White House, Trump stated, "You'll find out," when asked about potential consequences for Iran and expressed discontent over the drone attack, saying, "I don't like the fact that they took a shot yesterday." In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Iran fired at least four drones at ships in the strait, with one drone hitting a cargo ship. He noted that while damage occurred, the ship was able to continue its journey. Additionally, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) announced a temporary pause in efforts to evacuate ships and seafarers stranded in the strait, with Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez stating that the evacuation plan would be paused to ensure safety guarantees for those in the region.
