Lucas Trejo's Family Found After Earthquake in Venezuela

Rescue teams recovered the bodies of Lucas Trejo's wife, Yanina Maranella, and their two children, Aaron and Ainhoa, after a 74-hour search following the collapse of their apartment building in Playa Grande, La Guaira, due to twin earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 that struck Venezuela's northern coast. Trejo, a 38-year-old center back for Sport Maritimo de La Guaira, was in Caracas with his team when the earthquakes occurred. He traveled to the disaster zone upon learning about the collapse. Trejo's father and brother also joined the search efforts. The tragedy has elicited condolences from the South American soccer community, including a statement from Trejo's club expressing their sorrow over the loss.
