Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas Seen at Capitol, Speculated Medical Visit

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was observed in the Capitol on Monday, leading to speculation about a visit to the in-house doctor. The 78-year-old justice was filmed walking through the House side of the Capitol but did not disclose the purpose of his visit. When asked by a reporter about his meetings, Thomas responded, 'Oh, nobody,' and later added, 'None that I’m going to tell you about.' According to Politico reporter Meredith Lee Hill, Republicans believe Thomas was visiting the Office of the Attending Physician. The physician's office provides medical services to members of Congress and Supreme Court justices. Justices typically visit the Capitol only for ceremonial events. Previous justices, such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, have utilized the Capitol's medical office in the past. Thomas had a health scare in 2022 when he was hospitalized for an infection, and his visit comes amid discussions about the age of Supreme Court justices.
