Global Billionaire Count Reaches 3,302, Assets Increase by 25%

As of June 30, 2026, the number of billionaires worldwide has increased by 13.1% to a record total of 3,302, according to a report by UBS Group AG. The report indicates that billionaires' total assets rose by 25% in the year leading up to April 2026, surpassing the overall growth in global wealth. The report identified 18 individuals with wealth between $50 and $100 billion and 19 individuals with assets exceeding $100 billion, with 15 of these billionaires residing in the United States. Global personal wealth grew by 10.8% in 2025, marking the fastest increase since 2017, and nearly one million new millionaires were created during this period. The report notes that while there has been a general increase in living standards, as indicated by rising non-financial assets such as real estate, economic disparity has deepened, with median wealth declining in most global markets. UBS economist James Mazeau commented that increased participation in equity markets is contributing to wealth growth in certain countries.
