The 79-year-old discussed his diagnosis in interviews with various media outlets, revealing that he was diagnosed in 2023. Glover stated, 'I’m sure as it advances, things are going to be different and changing.' He is collaborating with the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness about the disease. In a separate interview, Glover expressed his struggle to accept the diagnosis, saying, 'I’m still not accepting in my mind all parts of it.' Glover's daughter, Mandisa, emphasized the importance of him controlling his narrative and being honest about his condition. She described the impact of the disease on their family, while Glover maintained an optimistic outlook, stating, 'I don’t feel like it’s the end of my life.' Glover has also been active in political causes, supporting Bernie Sanders in previous presidential campaigns.
