The investigation follows claims made by former President Trump regarding alleged election irregularities in Fulton County, which were not substantiated by evidence. The FBI previously executed a search warrant in Fulton County, seizing physical ballots and other election-related materials. The investigation was referred to the FBI by Kurt Olsen, a lawyer involved in efforts to contest the election results. A judge recently denied a request from Fulton County to return the seized ballots. The FBI has not provided additional comments on the matter.
