There is not a moment that goes by that we aren’t actively trying to find our mom." She thanked the Tucson community and law enforcement for their support. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with new leads being pursued, particularly involving DNA evidence. The FBI is also looking into several reports of fake ransom notes sent to media outlets, including one from Derrick Callella, 42, who pleaded guilty to harassment for sending these notes. Nancy Guthrie was last seen by her family on January 31, 2026, and was reported missing after not attending a church service on February 1.
