Joy Behar to take short break from 'The View'

Joy Behar announced on May 27, 2026, that she will take a short hiatus from ABC's 'The View' during the show's 'Behind the Table' podcast. Producer Brian Teta stated, "This is your last podcast for a little bit, because next week you're not going to be here." Behar mentioned that she will be traveling to Europe to perform in her play, 'My First Ex-Husband,' at the Boulevard Theatre in London's West End. She will be in Paris for a week before heading to London for a second week of performances. Teta also announced that Sheryl Underwood and Kara Swisher will serve as fill-in hosts during Behar's absence, along with Ana Navarro, who typically co-hosts on Mondays and Fridays. Whoopi Goldberg is expected to appear on Fridays while Behar is away.
