Senator Mitch McConnell Discloses Hospitalization Following Fall

Senator Mitch McConnell, a Republican from Kentucky, announced on Sunday that he was hospitalized last month after experiencing a fall. In a statement, McConnell confirmed that he did not break any bones, suffer a concussion, or have a heart attack or stroke. He stated, 'I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.' McConnell has since moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation center to continue his recovery. He noted that he will not be able to return to the Senate floor to vote yet but has been working closely with his legislative staff.
