The meeting was organized by conservative attorney Cleta Mitchell and included individuals who have promoted claims that the election was 'stolen' from Trump.
Attendees were reportedly asked to sign nondisclosure agreements, and the discussions were described as confidential. Charles Faltenovich, director of PA Fair Elections, confirmed his attendance and indicated that the information shared was largely already reported by conservative media figures, including John Solomon, who is involved in a push for declassification of election-related documents.
Faltenovich mentioned the existence of a significant amount of declassified material that had not yet been published, although the briefing did not provide any new insights. A White House official stated that the administration regularly engages with stakeholders on various policy matters.
Catherine Engelbrecht, co-founder of True the Vote, also attended the briefing and expressed confidence that Trump's upcoming speech would support their claims regarding the election. Engelbrecht's organization has been associated with allegations of ballot tampering, which they have not substantiated with evidence.
Mitchell, who has previously advised Trump on election-related matters, leads the Election Integrity Network, which connects state-level election activists to the White House. Lauren Groh-Wargo, CEO of Fair Fight Action, criticized the network for linking discredited claims to government actions.
Tina Peters, a former Colorado county clerk convicted for tampering with voting equipment, is also expected to be present during the announcement. The specifics of Trump's speech remain unclear, with attendees expressing curiosity about its content and implications for upcoming midterm elections.
