The FBI is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Phoenix, Arizona, on July 14, 2026. Video footage from FOX 10 Phoenix shows multiple bullet holes in the windows of the Enforcement and Removal Operations building on North Central Avenue. The FBI's Phoenix Field Office reported that one or more unidentified individuals fired rounds that struck the exterior of the building, but no injuries were reported.
The investigation follows a recent announcement by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that ICE will require all arrest teams to have an officer wearing a body camera due to a reported increase in attacks against ICE personnel. DHS stated that assaults against ICE officers have risen by over 1,300%, while vehicle attacks have increased by more than 3,300%.
The FBI is requesting anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators. The motive for the shooting has not been disclosed, and no suspect information is available.
