Florida Man Arrested for Violating Probation and Attempting to Defraud Drug Test

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office has charged James Shepard, 52, with violating his probation after he was stopped for driving with a suspended license on July 14. Shepard was on probation for multiple burglaries and thefts. During the stop, deputies discovered a device known as a 'Whizzinator' in his possession, which he attempted to use to pass a court-ordered drug test. The device consisted of a fake bladder filled with synthetic urine and was equipped with a heating pad. Video evidence from the patrol car showed Shepard discarding the device. He is now facing multiple charges, including driving without a valid license, violating probation, defrauding a drug test, and tampering with evidence. Sheriff Rick Staly criticized Shepard's actions, stating that he had previously received leniency in sentencing despite a history of criminal behavior. Shepard is currently being held without bond.
