Andrew and Tristan Tate Arrested in Miami on Additional Rape Charges

Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were arrested by federal law enforcement officials in Miami on July 18, 2026, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. The arrests are related to additional rape charges brought by the U.K.'s Crown Prosecution Service, which stated that the brothers are awaiting extradition to the U.K. Andrew Tate faces seven additional counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 charges related to illegal child images and pornography. Tristan Tate faces one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The allegations involve offenses from July 2010 to August 2017 and relate to four additional alleged victims. The case against the brothers has been ongoing, with previous charges involving different alleged victims. Joseph D. McBride, their attorney, criticized the arrests as an abuse of authority and suggested that the charges are politically motivated. The Tate brothers, who are dual U.S. and British citizens, have denied all allegations and previously faced charges in Romania related to organized crime and human trafficking.
