U.S. Military Conducts Strikes Against Iran Following Troop Deaths

The U.S. military conducted strikes against Iran on Sunday evening after the announcement of one American service member's death and the recovery of another's remains following an Iranian missile strike in Jordan. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the remains of a service member missing after the missile attack were found, and an additional service member was killed during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from an Iranian drone in northern Iraq. This conflict has resulted in the deaths of 18 U.S. service members.
