California man arrested on multiple charges of child sexual abuse

Emmanuel Marchica, a 51-year-old man from Hollister, California, has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of children. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office began its investigation on July 5, 2026, after receiving a report of ongoing abuse. Following interviews with witnesses and the identification of additional alleged victims, detectives executed search warrants that led to Marchica's arrest on July 10. The investigation revealed that the alleged abuse may date back to at least 2012, and authorities believe there may be more victims yet to come forward. Marchica was serving as a pastor and Jiu-jitsu instructor at the time of his arrest, and he had previously owned several businesses in the area. His bail has been set at $17.5 million.
