Peter Lassally, Noted Late-Night Television Producer, Dies at 93

Peter Lassally, known for his work with prominent late-night television hosts, has died at the age of 93. His son, Tom Lassally, confirmed that Peter passed away from natural causes at a memory care facility in Los Angeles on Sunday. Lassally, a Holocaust survivor, began his career on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1969, producing the show until Carson's final broadcast in 1992. He later served as executive producer for David Letterman and worked on The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder and Craig Ferguson. Born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1932, Lassally and his family were imprisoned in concentration camps during World War II before relocating to New York City after the war.
