Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs Re-nominated for General Election

Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs has been re-nominated in the Arizona Democratic primary, having run unopposed. Hobbs, who previously served as Arizona Secretary of State, narrowly won against Republican nominee Kari Lake in the last election. Following the primary, Hobbs expressed her commitment to the upcoming general election, stating, "I've never lost an election, but I've also never won one alone. This will be a close race, but I'm excited to be in this fight with all of you to keep Arizona moving forward." She will compete against the winner of the Republican gubernatorial primary, which includes candidates such as Rep. Andy Biggs and Rep. David Schweikert. Hobbs has invested approximately $7 million in campaign ads during the primary, despite facing no opposition. Her campaign is focused on showcasing Arizona's economic achievements and her bipartisan efforts with the Republican-controlled legislature. The general election will also feature candidates from the Libertarian Party, the Green Party, and No Labels.
