Missouri Man Arrested After Diving Off Bridge to Evade Police

A 26-year-old man from Kimberling City, Missouri, attempted to evade police by diving off a bridge into Table Rock Lake. Video footage from the Stone County Sheriff's Office shows Gavin Thor Lundgren sprinting across the bridge before jumping into the water after leading deputies on a chase early on July 18. The sheriff's office reported that Lundgren resisted arrest, resulting in minor injuries to three deputies during the apprehension. Lundgren was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including third-degree assault and resisting arrest. He was initially stopped for driving nearly 75 mph in a 45-mph zone. Following the chase, he abandoned his vehicle and jumped off the bridge. Lundgren is currently held in the Stone County Jail without bond.
