House GOP Urges Senate Action on Reconciliation Package

House GOP leaders are urging Senate Republicans to act swiftly on a $95 billion reconciliation package, despite opposition from Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.). House leaders have communicated their expectations to Senate colleagues before their recess. The reconciliation package includes funding for the war in Iran and farm assistance, along with elements of the SAVE America Act. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt remarked that former President Trump's patience with Thune is diminishing.
