Democrats Acknowledge New Jersey Voter Registration Error, Reject Claims of Widespread Fraud

Democratic lawmakers in New Jersey have acknowledged a significant error in voter registration but have dismissed claims of widespread election fraud. Governor Mikie Sherrill reported that a software error resulted in the erroneous registration of approximately 6,600 noncitizens through the state's Motor Vehicle System. The company responsible for the identity-related security services has denied any wrongdoing.
