Freedom 250, the organization hosting the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., announced the lineup of performers for the event, which will take place from June 25 to July 10, 2026. The fair is part of the celebration for the country’s 250th anniversary and will feature various artists, including Martina McBride, C+C Music Factory, Bret Michaels, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Flo Rida, and The Commodores, performing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
However, two artists, Morris Day & The Time and Young MC, have withdrawn from the lineup, citing concerns about the event's political implications. C+C Music Factory's Freedom Williams also expressed hesitation regarding the event's association with former President Donald Trump but indicated he might still perform. Young MC stated on Instagram that he was not informed about the political involvement of the event and referenced media descriptions of it as 'Trump-backed.'
The fair aims to showcase all 56 U.S. states and territories, featuring attractions such as a 110-foot Ferris wheel and a refurbished Smithsonian National Carousel.
