49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan Injured in Car Accident

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was involved in a car accident on July 14, resulting in multiple injuries. According to a statement from the team, Shanahan sustained a broken nose, three broken ribs, a hand injury, over 40 stitches in his face, and a severe concussion. The accident occurred near his home in northern California when he collided with another SUV. Shanahan will participate in team activities on a limited basis during training camp as he recovers. The 49ers expressed gratitude to the first responders for their assistance. The other driver was not injured, and no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident. Shanahan was taken to the hospital and later released. He is entering his 10th season as head coach and has led the team to two Super Bowl appearances.
