One dead, several injured after van strikes crowd at pride festival in Berlin

German authorities canceled a pride festival in Berlin on Saturday following an incident in which a white van struck attendees, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. Berlin Police reported that they deployed numerous police and rescue units to the Großer Tiergarten area and advised festivalgoers to evacuate. The injured individuals are receiving medical treatment. The incident took place during the annual Christopher Street Day festival, which is an LGBTQ+ pride event. Police are conducting a manhunt for suspects, although a motive has not yet been disclosed. Authorities indicated that several of the injured have life-threatening conditions.
