Shooting at Seattle food festival results in two deaths and several injuries

At least two people are dead and five have been injured in a shooting at a food festival near the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday night, according to police. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. local time, as attendees fled the venue following the sound of gunfire. The Seattle Police Department stated, "Police are investigating a shooting. Multiple shooting victims. Shots fired at the Seattle Center. More information to come. Please avoid the area." Grace Nunez, a spokesperson for the Seattle Fire Department, confirmed that two individuals died at the scene and five patients were transported to Harborview Medical Center, with one in serious condition and three in stable condition.
