Since leaving the hospital, he has been engaged in a rigorous physical therapy regimen aimed at rebuilding strength and minimizing the risk of future falls. The physicians noted that McConnell's history of childhood polio remains a significant factor affecting his mobility, and he is still undergoing rehabilitation before he can return to his office.
