Fifteen-Year-Old Arrested Following Seattle Shooting Incident

A 15-year-old was arrested in connection with a shooting in Seattle on July 26, 2026, that resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to four others. The teenager is one of two suspects believed to have exchanged gunfire, hitting bystanders in the process. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson stated that the suspect is being held in juvenile detention on charges related to firearms violations and first-degree assault. Authorities are still searching for a second suspect, whose description has not yet been released. Seattle Assistant Police Chief Tyrone Davis commented on the ongoing investigation during a news conference. The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. at the Bite of Seattle food festival, which was crowded at the time. Among the deceased were a 56-year-old woman and two men aged 14 and 44. One of the injured was a 2-year-old boy, who was hospitalized but reported to be in satisfactory condition as of Monday.
