Texas Man Charged with Making Terroristic Threats Against Erika Kirk

<p>A 26-year-old man from Texas has been charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk and bomb a Turning Point USA event where she is scheduled to speak. The investigation began following a Facebook post promoting TPUSA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, set for June 5–7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter.</p><p>The suspect, Jacob Wenske, reportedly commented on the post, stating, "I know exactly where to bomb." He also made additional threats in an email, declaring, "Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!" Wenske has been charged with a third-degree felony for making a terroristic threat involving fear of serious bodily injury and public disruption. His bond has been set at $120,000.</p><p>Turning Point USA spokesman Matt Shupe stated that the organization is taking the threats seriously and prioritizes the safety of attendees and speakers at their events, which will have enhanced security measures in place. Kirk has recently spoken out about the media and cultural climate she believes contributes to political violence, referencing the assassination of her husband in September.</p>
