A 26-year-old man from San Antonio, Jacob Wenske, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly making threats to kill Erika Kirk, who is scheduled to speak at a Turning Point USA event in San Antonio next week. Wenske faces two felony charges for making terroristic threats that caused public fear, according to charging documents obtained by KSAT Investigates.
Police reported that Wenske responded to a social media post about the group’s upcoming women’s leadership summit by stating, "I know exactly where to bomb." He also commented, "I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort." Additionally, an email linked to Wenske reportedly included threats against Kirk and other speakers, declaring, "Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!"
Court records show that Wenske's bond is set at $120,000. Erika Kirk is the CEO of Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit, and is set to speak at the Women’s Leadership Summit from June 5-7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter.
