Kerri Rawson, the daughter of serial killer Dennis Rader, known as the BTK killer, has been issued a domestic violence injunction following claims from her ex-husband, Darian Rawson. Court records indicate that Darian Rawson filed a petition stating that Kerri Rawson warned him and their children were in danger of being murdered. A Florida judge granted the injunction, which temporarily awarded Darian full custody of their two teenage children and limited Kerri's contact to electronic communications. She is also prohibited from approaching their home, school, or pets.
The petition alleges that Kerri Rawson summoned her ex-husband to a police station on January 5, 2025, claiming she had psychic abilities that indicated their children were in imminent danger. The filing also mentioned that she alerted police about potential threats to the family before calling 911 to report shots fired at an apartment complex, although officers found the family safe upon arrival. Kerri Rawson was later located at Orlando International Airport and voluntarily admitted herself to a hospital. The injunction petition cited concerns regarding her mental health, with an incident report describing her as known for making inaccurate statements.
Darian Rawson has since alleged that Kerri violated the injunction by contacting him multiple times. Dennis Rader, Kerri's father, was convicted of murdering ten people between 1974 and 1991 and is currently serving ten consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. Kerri Rawson has authored a memoir titled 'A Serial Killer's Daughter' and has been active in advocating for victims of violent crime.
