Andy Reid provided an update on Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who was shot earlier this week. Mia Bieniemy sustained multiple gunshot wounds at their home in Ashburn, Virginia, and was initially hospitalized in stable condition. Reid stated, "She's doing great. She's doing better and great from where she was. Out of the ICU unit, happy about that. EB is still with her, that part's important."
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reported that police arrested the couple's 27-year-old son, Elijah Zion Bieniemy, on charges of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling. He is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. The Chiefs' training camp began recently in St. Joseph, Missouri, with Bieniemy returning as offensive coordinator after previous roles with the Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears, and UCLA.
