Georgia mother defends children from alleged abductor at gas station

A Georgia mother defended her children from an alleged abductor at a gas station in Marietta, as captured by surveillance video. The incident occurred around midnight last week when 30-year-old Jerahn Tucker approached the family's vehicle while the mother was pumping gas. According to Marietta Police Department Public Information Officer Charles McPhilamy, Tucker initially spoke with the mother before attempting to open the car doors and pull a child from the back seat. Tucker reportedly claimed to have a gun before becoming aggressive. The video shows one of the children jumping from the vehicle and running around it while Tucker chased him. The mother used the gas pump hose to keep Tucker away from her children until bystanders intervened and called 911. Tucker fled the scene but was apprehended by police shortly after. He is currently in custody at the Cobb County Jail facing charges including kidnapping and simple assault. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the alleged attack.
