Sen. Jon Ossoff Highlights Military Infrastructure Investments Despite Voting Against Bill

His office stated that the significant military construction budget for Georgia is a result of his efforts as the senior Democrat on the Military Construction subcommittee. Ossoff's Republican opponent, Representative Mike Collins, criticized him for trying to take credit for legislation he did not support. Ossoff has faced challenges in balancing his opposition to legislation backed by former President Donald Trump while campaigning for reelection in a competitive Senate race. He has expressed concerns about the conditions at military bases and the treatment of military families in privatized housing.
