Courtney Clenney, an OnlyFans model, has reached a plea agreement in her second-degree murder case related to the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed and will require court acceptance to become final, as confirmed by her attorneys from the Prieto Law Firm and Puglisi Carames Law. The agreement is expected to be presented in Miami-Dade County court on August 10.
Clenney, 30, has been in custody since August 2022 following Obumseli's death on April 3, 2022, at her Miami apartment. Her legal team has claimed that Obumseli was abusive, while his family contends he was a victim of domestic violence. Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle described the relationship as tumultuous.
Clenney reported that Obumseli pushed her, prompting her to grab a knife and throw it at him from a distance. A medical examiner noted that the knife wound was three inches deep. Initially considered self-defense, the investigation continued due to concerns raised by Obumseli's family. Police responded to an aggravated battery call and found Obumseli with a stab wound upon arrival at the couple's residence.
Clenney's attorneys have requested that the public and media allow the legal process to unfold without speculation.
