Attermann stated, 'I had the privilege of representing Vinny for more than 30 years, long before ‘The Sopranos’ made him a household name. To the world, he will always be remembered as the unforgettable ‘Big Pussy,’ but to those of us who knew him, he was so much more.' Authorities reported that there were no signs of criminal activity related to his death.
Pastore's career included roles in various crime films such as 'Goodfellas' and 'Carlito's Way,' but he became widely known for his character on 'The Sopranos,' whose storyline involving cooperation with the FBI was pivotal in the series. He also appeared in numerous television shows, including 'Law & Order' and 'Blue Bloods,' and participated in reality shows like 'Celebrity Apprentice.'
Born on July 14, 1946, in the Bronx, Pastore served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War before pursuing a career in acting. He continued to work in recent years, with roles in 'Gravesend' and 'Yellowjackets.' Pastore was part of the ensemble cast that received a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2000.
