Will Levis expresses confidence in ability to be NFL starter amid competition for backup role

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis has not played a competitive game since January 2025. Despite concerns regarding his health and his current position in Nashville, he remains confident in his abilities. Levis is expected to start the season as the third-string quarterback, with Cam Ward as the starting quarterback. In a recent statement, Levis asserted, "There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure," referencing his past performance with the Titans. He has made 21 starts and holds a record of 5-16, with 21 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, and 17 fumbles. Levis underwent season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder in July 2025 and spent the following year on injured reserve. He is currently competing with veteran Mitchell Trubisky for the backup position as the season approaches.
