If Miller were to withdraw before the close of business on August 8, a special primary would be held to select a replacement candidate. If he withdraws after that date, party leaders would have until August 10 to choose a successor.
Renacci expressed uncertainty about Miller's intentions, stating, "I truly don't believe Max is leaving, I think Max is going to stay in the race."
